Reselling cards in HUT for profit

Price checking, filtering using the market parameters and flipping through listings looking for those snipes.

When buying non-specific cards to resell for profit, you first need to understand card prices.
This involves a lot of time spent price checking.

Understanding prices and your bankroll

I'd begin by taking note of your coin stack. How much do you have to work with? If you have 300k and a prediction that fodder has a good possibility to increase, you could buy 20–40 cards for either the lowest buyout or on bid as they're expiring. This is more of an investor's way of going about it.

You can also price check different event/program items, filter by overall, and then sit at the 1 hour mark trying to snipe one or two for cheap. This can make coins faster, but you might spend more time on the market waiting. Sniping works better after something like Champs rewards or new Season rewards come out, when everyone is offloading cards for cheap.

Market snipes and refreshing technique

After price checking and filtering using the market search parameters, you can scroll the 1 hour mark and start refreshing. Refresh using Y/triangle or flip between pages with LB/RB or L1/R1 (or using the D-pad). All will cause fresh listings to pop up. Doing this, you can flip between and check the 1hr, 3hr, 6hr, 12hr, 1d, and 3d listings as they appear.

When sniping, you have to be fast. Consider how many others are doing the same thing. Event fodder will have more eyes watching. Higher overalls may have fewer people watching, but often won't have as many listings per hour. More valuable cards are very luck-dependent.

A footnote

After covering a lot of the fundamentals, moving forward the blogs will start to cover things like upcoming events and predictions for potentially useful fodder. I'll try to post Mondays and Thursdays, maybe giving you something to look forward to on the weekdays with no HUT content.
